HammerHead Nicasil Cylinder Big Bore Kit 58.5mm (155-160cc) for GY6, 150cc - EG‐GY6‐C585

This Nicasil big bore kit is manufacutred by Motorio out of Taiwan and comes complete with cylinder body, piston, rings, gaskets - everything you need! 

The 58.5mm (155-160cc) kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for your current GY6 cylinder body, and therefore, no alterations to the engine or crankcase are necessary. 

This is a perfect mod to do when replacing your stock piston or replacing your rings - you've got the engine apart already, might as well get a bit more power out of it! 

This Nicasil cylinder consists of an aluminum liner sleeve with Nicasil coating, thus making it much stronger and more durable than other materials.  Nicasil is a light-weight material that creates a solid surface and is a fantastic heat exchanger.  The Standard aluminum cylinder consists of a steel liner sleeve, and the fact is that steel metal is just not that great of a heat exchanger

Nikasil is short for Nickel Silicon Carbide. Silicon carbide is a very hard ceramic (much harder than steel) that can be dissolved in nickel. The nickel solution can then be electroplated onto the aluminium cylinder bore. The piston rings will then rub off the exposed nickel, leaving a very hard layer of silicon carbide to protect the aluminum piston from direct contact with the aluminium cylinder. With this setup, the engine tolerances can be much tighter for better performance and less maintenance.  Nikasil is extremely durable, so the cylinder does not need to be reworked as often as an iron or chrome cylinder.
